The Dundee Graffiti Jam in Dundee, Scotland celebrated 20 years this July 2024. CortesNYC, along with Meres One and El Souls represented the United States during this international graffiti event.
The event was organized by local graffiti artist and OTM crew member, Kryme. To celebrate the 20th anniversary the color theme was yellow and gold. All artists showcased their signature style utilizing these colors and the results were amazing. The Graff Jam took place at the DPM Dundee Park with live DJ's. Writers came from London, Ireland, Wales, Poland and Scotland to celebrate the graffiti art form.
Alongside the contributions from artists across Europe and the USA, the event also featured Scottish graffiti veterans who brought a local perspective to the event. This mix of old school and contemporary styles highlighted the event’s role in bridging different artistic traditions within the graffiti community.
The Dundee Jam not only showcased individual artistic contributions but also fostered a sense of community among the artists. The event provided an opportunity for artists to collaborate, exchange ideas, and gain inspiration from one another’s work.
Dundee felt like home for that weekend and all thanks to the hospitality that Kryme, Shyne and all the local artists offered. We can't wait to be back next year!
